Community Programs

Education is regularly scheduled by Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association community outreach services and includes free diabetes classes and bereavement support groups. Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association has an active Speaker's Bureau that provides professional health education to community groups and local organizations at no charge.

Recently Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association entered into service contract agreements with several IPAs and medical groups to provide patient education services (both individual and groups sessions) at their sites. A wide range of topics is available including diabetes, asthma, and special diets with other topics available by arrangement. Professional education services are also available for physicians' office staff as part of this comprehensive education program aimed at supporting health promotion and the disease prevention needs of our local population.

All of our Community Programs are regularly offered and are free of charge. You are welcome to join a group at any time, but please call first. Our volunteers are available to assist new members needing special support when they start to attend a group.
